Created as a weekly challenge to sketch on a card every Sunday in 2024. Inspired by seeing an Instagram post of another artist painting on playing cards. Decided to do my own twist. Explores the idea of play and religion.
Playing cards were basically forbidden in my childhood because they were associated with cursing and gambling and drinking. This is my reclaiming these cards as mere printed paper, not weapons.
